Project Concept (Revised)

The project goal and objectives focus on mitigating the causes and effects of land degradation on the structure and functional integrity of ecosystems through institutional strengthening and sustainable land management interventions, while contributing to poverty alleviation by improving local livelihoods and economic well-being. The approach to be adopted is based upon integrating existing initiatives with proposed project activities described in Jordan’s National Action Programme to combat desertification (NAP).
