The proposed exchange was developed to align with and contribute to the GEF-9 strategic vision, with applicability to the GEF’s strategic efforts to increase blended finance, advance a whole of society approach, and enhance knowledge management and learning. Through the exchange, the projects will apply their experience and lessons learned to explore opportunities for global partnership to increase
the impact of GEF investment, with particular interest in the ability of partnership to bring diversified co-financing to the GEF portfolio, increase accessibility of GEF funds to local and Indigenous partners, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge across regions and project types through global portfolios.

Twinning Exchange - Blue Nature Alliance and Coral Reef Rescue Project
The proposed exchange aims to develop recommendations pertaining to the utilization of blended partnerships to leverage impact of GEF funds, improved access to GEF funds by country-level and local partners, enhanced coordination and knowledge exchange across the GEF project portfolio, and strategies to support the securing of sustainable financing post-GEF investment.
