The GEF CReW Project organizes Regional Facilitation Training

08 Mar 2013 | by gefcrew.org
The Global Environment Facility-funded Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (GEF CReW) Project, with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme – Caribbean Environment Programme (UNEP CEP), is organizing an intensive skills-oriented week- long training programme in Facilitation for about fifty mid-level and senior professionals involved in decision making in the wastewater sector from the Project’s thirteen participating countries. This regional training will take place in Kingston, Jamaica from 19th – 24th May 2013.

Participation does not always come naturally. Engaging stakeholders and collaboration between the various organisations and countries working within the Wider Caribbean Region within the wastewater sector can, as a result, be challenging. The training workshop will focus on some of the challenges faced by the GEF CReW Project.  However, the overall objective goes beyond the project and that is to build within the region the capacity to “get to yes and to take action”.  Participants will share development challenges from the wastewater sector, projects and context in which they work.  Participatory models and tools will be applied in creative ways by the participants.
