Asia-Pacific Regional Network

We are a network of professionals and practitioners involved in marine and coastal initiatives across the region of Asia and the Pacific.

In our network you will find 56 representatives from GEF-funded marine and coastal projects, biodiversity, fisheries, and climate change initiatives. You will also find those who are from non-GEF projects, academia, national ministries, NGOs, Regional Bodies or Conventions, private sector and more.

Our network currently reaches across 40 coastal countries (American Samoa, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Federated States of Micronesia,  Fiji,  French Polynesia,  Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Myanmar, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Northern Marianas, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, and Wallis & Futuna).

The network is coordinated by Natalie Degger of the GEF LME:LEARN Project. The network is also supported by the IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC).
