28 Jun 2019 | by khristine@iwlearn.org
Data and information are crucial factors to the policy cycle in international waters. They foster a better understanding and awareness of environmental issues, aid policy development and enable informed decisionmaking and actions.

To support LME governance within the GEF international waters portfolio, LME:LEARN, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, will convene the "LME:LEARN Data and Information Management (DIM): Working Group Meeting and Training" on 02-04 July 2019 in Paris.

The event will gather more than 20 practitioners representing 6 LMEs and 11 organizations to discuss, among others, experiences and lessons learned in managing LME data and information, various DIM tools and platforms, as well as the LME:LEARN Data and information management plan and future activities,
