A section is defined by a title and path and can hold a list of articles, just one article, a form or something else.

When adding a section you select which template and modules you want to use. For a section that should contain a News list you would would select a template, then select a suitable module for the list view and one for the detail view.

You can also define things like List order, password protection, image sizes etc. What to define depends on the chosen module type.

If the site has specified more than one language in the config file there will be a Language select box on top. Then you have the possibility to have parallel section structures in different languages. The language will be prepended in the url.
