Project Objective: To contribute to enhancing the long-term sustainability of protected area networks in the OECS region, by (i) establishing sustainable financing mechanisms; (ii) strengthening marine protected area networks; and (iii) deploying a regional monitoring and information system for protected area networks.

Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)

The Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States, OECS, came into being on 18 June 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty, agreeing to co-operate with each other and promote unity and solidarity among their Member States.
