9th meeting of the Task Force on the Water-Food-Energy-Ecosystems Nexus

18 June 2025
The Task Force on the Water-Food-Energy-Ecosystems Nexus, with Finland as lead Party, is responsible for activities related to the water-food-energy-ecosystems nexus and water allocation.

The Task Force on the Water-Food-Energy-Ecosystems (WFEE) Nexus under the Water Convention is accessible to Parties and other States. It gathers policy makers, practitioners and experts, to share knowledge, good practices and tools on cross-sectoral cooperation in transboundary contexts and to oversee the activities on WFEE nexus and water allocation under the Convention.

The ninth meeting of the Task Force will take place on 18 June 2025, from 10am to 6pm in Room XVI, Palais des Nations, Geneva. The Task Force meeting will follow the Global Workshop on Freshwater ecosystem conservation and restoration in transboundary basins (16-17 June, same venue).

The meeting will focus on ecosystems and biodiversity, water allocation and flow regulation (balancing water, hydropower, and ecosystems) and nexus for climate action. See the agenda for more details.
