The 29th Session of the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC) was hosted and co-organized by the Department of Fisheries of Malaysia on 21–23 August. The session addressed key concerns regarding responsible and sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, including: co-management, governance and institutional arrangements, and policy challenges; illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; and food safety, quality and trade.
