The overall objective of GIWA is to develop a comprehensive, strategic framework for the identification of priorities for remedial and mitigatory actions in international waters, designed to achieve significant environmental benefits, at national, regional and global levels. This file contains the second to the last part of the Project Document and this includes: ANNEX II: Environmental and socio-economic impacts of water-related major concerns and principal issues. ANNEX III: Principal socio-economic root causes. ANNEX IV: Interactions between major concerns and principal issues.
