[ABNJ Tuna and Biodiversity] Second Project Steering Committee: Sustainable Management of Tuna Fisheries and Biodiversity Conservation in the ABNJ Report

The second meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of the Common Oceans ABNJ Tuna Project was held in FAO Headquarters in Rome from 28 to 30 July 2015. A total of 43 participants attended the meeting. The list of participants is provided in Annex I. Jacqueline Alder from FAO, the Common Oceans/ABNJ Global Program Coordinator, welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. The Global Tuna Project Coordinator, Alejandro Anganuzzi, introduced the different changes of staff associated with the Program and the Project that have taken place since the previous PSC. In particular, Jacqueline Alder is replacing Jeremy Turner as Global Program Coordinator and Budget Holder, and Nicolás Gutiérrez will be replacing Francis Chopin upon his transfer to the FAO Regional Office in Samoa, as Lead Technical Officer (LTO) in September 2015. In addition, he underlined that it was the first time that the coordinators of the four projects of the Common Oceans/ABNJ Program, which are now all operational, were brought together (Published in 2015).
