GOMMPAN Twinning Proposal Form
While still under implementation in 2018, the GEF funded Gulf of Mexico Large Marine Ecosystem project requested support to help strengthen the development of the Gulf of Mexico Marine Protected Area Network (GOMMPAN). The attached proposal highlights key areas of learning which the GEF IW community would have greatly benefited from, especially related to the establishment of GOMMPAN (including the steps taken, the stakeholders involved, and the challenges faced). After completion of the twinning exchange, the Gulf of Mexico LME project (GEF ID 6952) was put on hold and a few key lessons were lost during the transition period.
