Stress, Sustainability and Development of Large Marine Ecosystems During Climate Change: Policy and Implementation

Published in November 2013, it contains a compilation of presentations from leaders of key financial, scientific and technical institutions working on the sustainable development of the oceans, namely the Large Marine Ecosystems (LMEs) Conference at the John F. Kennedy Library on 16 February 2013, and a linked LME symposium at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science on 17 February 2013 in Boston. The chapters represent a substantial commitment of scientific partnerships and financial support by the Global Environment Facility (GEF); International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES); United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC-UNESCO); and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), towards the recovery and sustainable development of the world's LMEs.
