AMAP Arctic Ocean Acidification Assessment: Summary for Policy-makers. This document presents the Executive Summary of the 2013 Arctic Ocean Acidification (AOA) Assessment. In this summary for policymakers, the term ‘Arctic Ocean’ refers not only to the central Arctic Ocean basin but also to its marginal seas. It is recommended that the Arctic Council urge its Member States, Observer countries, and the global society to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide as a matter of urgency.
