[Nutrient Reduction/Best Management Practice] Romania - Integrated Nutrient Pollution Control Project

The overall development objective of the project is to reduce nutrient discharges to water bodies and promote behaviour change through strengthened institutional capacity and demonstrated communa-based actions.The local environmental objective is to reduce over the long term the discharge of nutrients into water bodies leading to the Danube River and Black Sea through integrated land and water management. Towards this end, the project provides technical assistance and speciļ¬c investments to reduce nutrient discharge from rural area sources to surface and groundwaters in Romania.
