Mechanics of the competition
- Visit http://iwlearn.net/websitetoolkit/wow/iw-wow-award-nomination to nominate a project website.
- All accepted entries will be notified by August 31 and will be asked to display the IW Project Website Award icon at their homepage and invite people to vote for their website at http://iwlearn.net/websitetoolkit/wow/iw-wow-award-2011-nominees. Voting will run from 16 September to 10 October, which will determine the top 10 finalists through the highest votes received.
- A group of judges, consisting of five experts (on transboundary management and ICT) will rate the top 5 finalists based on the criteria set by IW:LEARN to determine the final three websites.
- The final three websites will then be announced on the opening day of the IWC 6 and will be judged by the IWC6 participants during the conference as follows:
- IW:LEARN will produce a poster highlighting the competition, criteria used, URLs of sites competing, and the final five websites. A PowerPoint presentation of the competition and screen shots of the final five websites will also be shown at the GEF IW:LEARN booth.
- IW:LEARN and supporters of the final five websites will encourage participants to visit the IW:LEARN booth, browse the top 5 websites and vote through the computers provided at the IW:LEARN booth.
