A recent paper by Lucia Fanning, Robin Mahon et al. proposes a large marine ecosystem (LME) governance framework for the Caribbean.
A large marine ecosystem (LME) governance framework, developed from a need to effectively address the sustainable management of the shared living marine resources of the Caribbean, is proposed. The framework is based on four propositions and focuses on a linked examination of two well-known components of LME-level governance: the policy cycle process by which decisions are made and themulti-level nature of LMEs.
The GEF IW:LEARN is actively reaching out to GEF projects and partners to ensure that the most up-to-date information on IW projects is readily available through its Project Database ( http://www.iwlearn.net/iw-projects ).
For the database to succeed, we need your input. The database is a growing information resource, and we seek your help in collecting, adding and updating your project details.
The next IW:LEARN IT Regional Workshop is to be held in Boca raton Florida, USA, from 2 to 6 June 2008. The purpose of this workshop is to assist projects in creating and managing a project website using the freely available IW:LEARN Toolkit .
