UNEP/IW:LEARN Metadata Workshop

IW:LEARN is organising a workshop to be held in Tunisia, tentatively scheduled from 8-12 December 2008. The workshop aims to introduce the free GeoNetwork open source software package for managing and sharing geospatial metadata.

To learn more about the workshop, kindly e-mail Mr. Sean Khan at sean.khan@unep.org or Dr. Richard Cooper at richard@iwlearn.org.

Thank You Survey Respondents!

IW:LEARN wishes to thank all those who shared their time to respond to the survey on IW:LEARN services. These inputs will help in improving IWLEARN’s outreach materials, the iwlearn.net website and the Web Toolkit. The initial result of the online survey is accessible at http://www.iwlearn.net/websitetoolkit/survey/summary-of-results .

As we have received a few reports of technical difficulties in accomplishing the survey, we are making the survey available in MS Word format for those who are still interested to share their views and suggestions on IW:LEARN services. The questionnaire consists of only 12 questions about iwlearn.net, and an additional 3 questions for GEF IW project managers and 11 questions for users of the Web Toolkit. Download the survey in MS Word format.

IW:LEARN will get in touch with the first 50 respondents regarding the delivery of the free 2-gigabyte flash memory stick.
