This contains information about the Information and Communication Technology trainings that IW:LEARN organizes twice a year to support users of the IW:LEARN Website Toolkit and web developers and content editors of GEF IW projects that use other platform.

UNEP/IW:LEARN ICT Workshop on Spatial Data Management from Mar 17, 2014 09:00 AM to Mar 20, 2014 04:00 PM — Manila, Philippines, — by Damaris Waigwa: Co-organized by the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, the workshop aims to help projects and their partners communicate spatial data using maps by providing an in-depth understanding and transferring and enhancing the skills needed for spatial data management using best practices and standards. The workshop will evolve mainly on the use of GeoNode platform, which is an open source, online collaborative platform that enables the managing, sharing and increased use of geospatial data, and which can aid decision-making processes for the management of marine and freshwater ecosystems and resources.
IW:LEARN ICT Workshop - UNEP Nairobi 2013 from Jun 17, 2013 09:00 AM to Jun 21, 2013 05:00 PM — UNEP, Nairobi, Kenya, — by Khristine Custodio: The purpose of this workshop is to assist projects in creating and managing a project website using the freely available IW:LEARN Toolkit. Related ICT subjects such as content development and syndication, and new topics as publishing for mobile gadgets as well as how to use the IW:LEARN Community Workspace will also be covered. This workshop will also zoom in to the increasing needs for data visualization and geo-referencing project outputs and intervention.
