Morteza Rahmatian Department of Economics California State University, Fullerton In order to have the efficient provision of health, safety and environmental policies it is crucial to obtain a market valuation of risks to human health from air pollution in Tehran. In a world of scarcity, difficult decisions concerning tradeoffs between health and other desirable goods and services are unavoidable. It is hoped that this study will contribute to informing future policy decisions about the possible benefits of improving air quality.
