The GEF knowledge needs assessment
The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) is an international institution that provides grants and concessional funds to developing countries and economies in transition for sustainable development projects that protect and enhance the global environment while improving local and regional economies. This study report presents the results and analysis of this knowledge needs assessment. The approach that has been taken is participatory. It has involved a quantitative analysis of a survey questionnaire filled by almost 300 respondents and qualitative interviews with 25 GEF staffs and partners. December 2011.
