TURF and CTI MEDS software introduced in Dili to support decision-making in fisheries management

Five consultants from the Strengthening Sound Environmental Management in the Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area – CTI Map Enhanced Decision Support (CTI MEDS) conducted a workshop in Dili, Timor-Leste to introduce two softwares aimed to help in fisheries management decision-making

The Tool for Understanding Resilience of Fisheries to Climate Change Impacts or TURF was developed for local-level governance and fisheries management. TURF considers the extent of available fisheries data in the country  while the CTI-MEDS software was developed to apply the TURF using computers and improved visualization for communication of results to stakeholders.
