Policy Advisory Committee Meets in Seychelles

High-level government officials from countries of the western Indian Ocean are holding a policy advisory meeting in the Seychelles to deliberate on challenges that threaten the Large Marine Ecosystems of the region. The states, notably Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Somalia, Comoros, France (through Reunion) and Seychelles, are aiming for a Strategic Action Programme (SAP) to set out a long-term commitment to sustainable management of the marine ecosystem.
