Representatives from the Philippines, Mongolia, Indonesia, Japan, and Papua New Guinea shared the results of their disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) projects as well as experiences and lessons learned during a seminar sponsored by the World Bank on 17 January 2013 at the Taipan Building in Ortigas Center.

CTI SEA Deputy Team Leader for the Philippines Raul Roldan participated  in the videoconference and shared upcoming activities related to DRRM. In 2012, the Philippine government approved the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act (Republic Act 10121) which mandates every local government unit to have a DRRM plan. CTI SEA-Philippines will help the municipality of Balabac in Taytay, Palawan this year to formulate its DRRM plan and integrate it to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
