On 7 December 2014, Global Environment Facility (GEF) CEO Dr. Naoko Ishii, accompanied by a delegation of GEF and COP20 Climate Change delegates, visited one of the five GEF-UNDP Humboldt Current Large Marine Ecosystem Project pilot sites: the Ballestas Islands and surrounding area in the Paracas Bay at a latitude of 14 degrees south.
