Nile Basin journalists in training on issues surrounding the River Nile

ENTEBBE, Uganda - A five day training aimed at familiarizing Nile Basin journalists and editors with political, economic and environmental issues surrounding the River Nile is taking place in Entebbe, Uganda, The training which takes place from 11th to 15th August, 2014 is organized by the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) in collaboration with the Voice of America (Broadcasting Board of Governors) and is supported by the U.S.Department of State
In his opening remarks, Eng. Teferra Beyene, the Executive Director of the NBI Secretariat underscored the role of the media in the development of any society and subsequently nations.
