UNEP/GEF South China Sea Project and the GEF Small Grants Programme Partnership
The UNEP/GEF South China Sea Project and the GEF Small Grants Programme launched a partnership to promote community involvement in support of the implementation of the Regional Strategic Action Programme (SAP) for the South China Sea during the closing session of the 3rd Regional Scientific Conference.
The partnership is aimed at building the capacity of NGOs, community-based organisations, and coastal communities to implement the SAP at the local level. It is anticipated that this will assist in facilitating the effective exchange of information between local, national and regional levels.
