Nubian Aquifer Project Modelling Meeting, 21-24 August 07

The objective of the meeting was to review and introduce modelling techniques into the decision support system for project implementation.

In the frame of the joint IAEA/UNDP/GEF Nubian Aquifer Project, representatives from the four participating countries met from August 21 to 24, in Vienna, Austria. The objective of the meeting was to review and introduce modelling techniques into the decision support system for project implementation. Previous modelling and data on the NSAS were reviewed and options and approaches for a new, improved model were discussed.

This modelling was in line with the previous Shared Aquifer Diagnostic Analysis / Strategic Action Programme (SADA/SAP) Training Course and SADA planning meeting held last March in Khartoum, Sudan.
