Charting Our Water Future
November 23, 2009—A new report by the 2030 Water Resources Group, led by IFC and McKinsey & Company, finds that one-third of the world's population could have access to only half the water it needs by 2030, if necessary actions are not taken now.
The report, Charting Our Water Future, for the first time shows
how future demand for water could be met through cost-effective
measures using existing technologies. It provides greater clarity on
the scale of the water challenge, and offers a fact-based tool to help
stakeholders make informed investment decisions and guide policy
discussions.
