African LME Caucus newsletter: First issue now out

This issue includes updates from 5 GEF IW projects in Africa working on the (1) Mediterranean Large Marine Ecosystem, (2) Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem, (3) Guinea Current Large Marine Ecosystem, (4) Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem, and (5) Agulhas and Somali Current Large Marine Ecosystems.

African LMEs all face similar threats. These include a decline in commercial fisheries; uncertainty about the status of ecosystems; deterioration of water quality; habitat loss and destruction; and threats to endangered and vulnerable species.
