Call for articles on the Global Water Forum (GWF)

The Global Water Forum (GWF) is currently calling for 800 to 1000 word articles across our broad range of discussion themes: Water Economics, Water and Agriculture, Hydrology, Millennium Development Goals, Urban Water, Environmental Flows, and the Murray-Darling Basin (Application Deadline: 29 February 2012).

The Global Water Forum (http://www.globalwaterforum.org/) is an online resource supported by the UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance at the Australian National University. The site presents knowledge and insight from leading water researchers and practitioners in the form of short, accessible articles concerning the challenges of water governance.

Previous GWF articles have: synthesized an author’s existing research, reviewed a particular field or issue, or offered informed opinion on important issues in water governance. Contributions are more rigorous and scholarly than blogs or other online media, yet more accessible than academic journals.

Previous authors on the Global Water Forum have found the site to be a useful vehicle for exposing our numerous and globally distributed readership to their publications in academic journals.

The site also contains other resources, such as online lectures, news links, and an announcements page. We are also launching a monthly based newsletter at the end of this month.

If you are interested in contributing to the Global Water Forum or have any other questions or suggestions regarding the site, please contact paul.globalwaterforum@gmail.com.
