The Portfolio Results Archive (PRA) map aims to facilitate discovery, analysis and learning from the results of previously executed GEF IW projects.

The map below displays the results reported by the most recent phase or tranche of a given project and not collectively for a given basin, result nor project type. This approach is currently being used to be able to spatially report results amidst challenges in aggregating and analyzing historical data in inconsistent format.

Maps and documents made available in the GEF IW:LEARN portfolio visualization tool are not legally recorded maps nor surveys and are not intended to be used as such. The visualization and mapping are created as part of a Geographic Information System (GIS) that compiles records, information, and data from various data sources which may contain errors. Additionally, maps and documents prepared by the GEF IW:LEARN from multiple sources, even if derived from data that is error free, may not be reliable due to differences in the databases or computer programs of the source materials. None of the maps or documents in the IW:LEARN portfolio visualization tool should be used for navigational, tracking or any other purpose requiring exacting measurement of distance or direction or precision in the depiction of geographic features.

Availability of the visualization tool is not guaranteed. Applications, servers and network connections may be unavailable at any time for maintenance or unscheduled outages. Outages may be of long duration. Do not create dependencies on these services for critical needs. For any issues and concerns, please contact info@iwlearn.org.

     Data sources

Individual GEF IW project information

Project information in the GEF IW Visualization Tool is sourced mainly from the IW:LEARN Project database. Locations and other geographic references are mainly derived from project documents in the GEF database, publications and information submitted by GEF IW projects directly or from relevant project and partner websites.

The PORTFOLIO RESULTS ARCHIVE highlights data aggregated from individual project progress on the basic indicators set out in the GEF IW Tracking Tool (TT) which allows GEF Agencies and the Secretariat to monitor and characterize program results quantitatively. When results are not quantitatively provided or are unavailable, IW:LEARN will endeavor to provide a sound analysis using various documents, i.e., terminal evaluation reports, IW Results Notes, final seminar documents, and form supplementary data needed to complete the portfolio results visualization. Geographic boundaries

The maps used for the GEF IW Visualization Tool are for reference only. The boundaries, colors, denominations and any other information shown on these maps do not imply, on the part of IW:LEARN, its implementing agencies and partners, any judgment on the legal status of any territory, or any endorsement or acceptance of such boundaries.
