Report on the International Workshop on Continental shelf Fluxes of Carbon, Phosphorus and Nitrogen
The aim of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) is to describe and understand
the interactive physical, chemical and biological processes that regulate the Earth system. The Joint
Global Ocean Flux Studies (JGOFS) and the Land Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone (LOICZ)
are the two IGBP Core Projects dealing with the ocean. These project elements share a common
interest in the open continental shelf.
