The purpose of this programme is to strengthen the regional capability in
marine pollution management by demonstrating the effectiveness of integrated coastal zone
management and management of marine pollution risks. The programme will also suppon the
development of a regional marine pollution information management and monitoring network
and strengthen the capacity to enforce and comply with international conventions to control
marine pollution.
