Following a long history of cooperation, five countries sharing the largest sub-basin of the Danube catchment opened a new chapter in 2004. Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia - established as ICPDR Tisza Group - committed to producing Integrated Tisza River Basin Management Plan. Their effort is supported by the UNDP/GEF, EU, UNOPS and UNEP.

This document presents draft baseline and target levels of key project indicators for approval. This information will be used in the Annual Progress Report due for submission in June 2009. It is clear that some indicators require additional data gathering and these are highlighted. This information will be assembled by the Project Team together with National Experts and presented to the Tisza Group Meeting in April 2008. The revised document will be sent to the PSC members for approval.
