Concluded the process of transition from the Pro-Tempore Secretariats of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty (ACT) to the establishment
of the Permanent Secretariat of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty, which I am very pleased to have taken on, as the first woman, the position of Secretary-General to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), since early May 2004. This role has produced one of the most noticeable inflections in the institutional history of this document, fostering regional cooperation and integration of the Amazon countries, in compliance with the mandates by the Governments of the Country Members.
