Enhancing Transboundary Cooperation in Water Management in the Prespa Lakes Basin
As it is currently considered unlikely, at least in the short to medium-term, that trilateral inter-State agreement might be reached on a more formal legal and institutional basis for trilateral cooperation for the Prespa Basin and, as it is envisaged that the proposed Prespa Water Management Working Group (PWMWG) would operate under the aegis of and support the work of the existing Prespa Park Coordination Committee (PPCC), it is necessary briefly to examine the legal mandate of the PPCC, especially in respect of technical cooperation.
