The Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) of the Large Marine Ecosystems of the Western Indian Ocean (Volume 2: Diagnostic Analysis)

The Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA), a science-based assessment which identifies and quantifies the causes of environmental problems in a geographic region. The TDA takes into account national, regional and global factors such as the socio-economic, political and institutional contexts, without ignoring national concerns and priorities. The TDA should be an objective assessment, based on the best available scientific and technical information and is compiled through full consultation with all stakeholders. The TDA is a vital document in the preparation of the Strategic Action Programme (SAP). First published in South Africa,12 September 2012.
