ASCLME/SWIOFP Joint Steering Committee Meeting

The ASCLME and SWIOFP Projects will be holding a Joint Project Steering Committee Meeting from 27th to 30rd September 2011 at the Hotel VIP Grand in Maputo, Mozambique. This will be the second joint steering committee meeting of the two projects and marks an increasingly close working relationship between these two GEF-funded projects working in the western Indian Ocean region.

The GEF/UNDP ASCLME Project is pleased to announce the release of its Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) report . The MTE was conducted by Dr. Yegor Volovik , who has done an excellent job of identifying the strengths and challenges the Project has experienced to date. The ASCLME Project and NOAA formally announced a partnership agreement today at the joint steering meeting of the ASCLME and SWIOFP Projects at the Kunduchi Beach Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Delegates at the 3rd Steering Committee Meeting in Dar es Salaam after the partnership agreement was unanimously accepted
