Country-Specific Issues and Proposed Tariff and Charge Reforms: The Czech Republic – National Profile

The purpose of the National Profile is to analyse the current situation and future development in the field of water and wastewater management in the Czech Republic, with a strong focus on providing public water supply and sewerage. As a result of describing the historical consequences, the current and future development, possible tariff and effluent charges reforms have been suggested. The text is divided into 9 chapters, which are focused on different entities of the system, following the basic division into three main groups: regulatory units, management units and service users. This division facilitates defining the individual competences and obligations as well as mutual interactions throughout the whole system.
