The Project will complement the Government of Hungary in its efforts to reduce transboundary pollution in the Danube, and will lead also to necessary policy, institutional and legal reforms related to regional nutrient reduction and improved water quality management. The project would finance the building of the nutrient reduction phase of the North-Budapest and Duna?jv?ros Wastewater Treatment Plants - the ongoing World Bank Municipal Wastewater Loan Project is financing the solid phase of the North-Budapest WWTP and the primary and secondary treatment of the Duna?jv?ros WWTP - and the restoration of wetlands in the Danube-Dr?va National Park Gemenc, B?da-Karapancsa Region.
