Training Needs Assessment for the Western Indian Ocean Region
The UNEP-GEF WIO-LaB Project commissioned the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) to undertake an assessment of training needs in some of the countries that are participating in the implementation of the project, namely Comoros, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa and Tanzania. The assessment was conducted in relation to key thematic areas of the WIO-LaB Project that include Physical Alteration and Destruction of Habitats (PADH), Municipal Waste Water Management (MWWM) and Legal and Technical review.
