SWIOFP-Project brief
The SWIOFP is one of three closely linked projects. SWIOFP is the beneficiary of environmental data
produced by the Agulhas and Somali Currents Large Marine Ecosystem Project (ASCLMEs)
implemented by the UNDP, and the WIO-LaB Project which is implemented through UNEP in Nairobi.
SWIOFP uses the outputs of these other related projects to produce a “Program level” outcome- an
ecologically based series of regional or sub-regional fisheries management plans.
