For proper and effective management of fisheries, there is a need to understand not only their biophysical environment but also their demographic and socio-economic environment and dynamics. From June to August 2006, students from the Centre for Resource Management
and Environmental Studies (CERMES) embarked on a trans-boundary socio-economic and livelihood assessment of fisheries in the Grenadines.
