Hydrographic Survey Oversight Team Established
The MEH Demonstration Project’s Technical Committee on Survey and ENC Production (TC-SENC) met in Singapore on 8 and 9 October 2009
Hydrographic Survey in the Straits’ TSS
One of the key activities of the MEH Demonstration Project is now in its final stages of implementation.
Hydrographic Survey Tide Gauges Installed
8 January 2010, London. As part of the mobilization phase for the hydrographic survey of Area 1 in the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore, the MEH Project contractor, GEMS Survey Limited, installed two tide gauges at Port Dickson and Pulau Lumut in Malaysia recently (2 – 7 January 2010).
Hydrographic survey for Marine Electronic Highway under way
A key hydrographic survey within the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore is now underway, as part of the Marine Electronic Highway (MEH) Demonstration Project, a regional project of the Global Environment Facility (GEF)/World Bank, which IMO is executing.
Third Meeting of the Project Steering Committee held in Singapore
Update from the Third Meeting of the Project Steering Committee, which was held in Singapore from 13 to 15 July 2010. The meeting was hosted by the Government of Singapore and was co-organized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and IMO. During this session the progress of the MEH Demonstration Project was discussed, in particular, the implementation of various activities which followed the field survey of the Malacca Straits.
