SUSTAINABILITY 2012: Shaping an Environmental Legacy for World Cities

The Challenge is for the regeneration of London for the next Olympics to be proven to be environmentally friendly, sustainable and to provide a lasting legacy. Driving this conference (and others phased annually for 2010, 2011 and 2012 and beyond) is objectively to audit/measure and assess the carbon footprint/built environment to improve the sustainability of other future developments. This conference provides a platform for world academics and scientists to interact cohesively to check the effective sustainability of the intended Olympic legacy. Highlighting any shortcomings will provide a framework for new innovative solutions and new technology solutions to improve future UK / world developments, (in particular in the UK the Thames Gateway Regeneration Project).
