International Conference on Waste Engineering and Management
Co-organized by The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the purpose of the Conference is to advance the understanding and application of civil engineering with respect to sustainable development in general, and environmental and waste engineering and management in particular, and to promote the exchange of technical, scientific and professional knowledge on waste engineering and management to better serve the interests and welfare of the public.

The objectives of the Conference are:
- To promote the exchange of technical, scientific and professional knowledge on waste engineering and management to better serve the interests and welfare of the community, engineering profession and general public in Hong Kong, Canada and around the world.
- To facilitate the delivery of knowledge concerning the reduction of wastes, the recycling and reuse of what generally is considered as waste materials, and the reduction of air, land, and water pollution.
