CAIWA 2007 - Conference on Adaptive and Integrative Water Management

The first international conference on adaptive and integrative water management will bring together scientists from academia, industry, and policy making/government to analyse progress, to explore new research directions and highlight policy implications of scientific findings. It will focus on basic research findings across all sectors of adaptive and integrated water resource management. Furthermore it will share the major scientific insights from the NeWater project with the wider scientific community and embed it into the current scientific debate in all relevant themes.

Target Audience

Scientific community - interdisciplinary context for a wide range of researchers from different disciplines and specialized fields. The last day will specifically address the policy and professional practitioners communities.



Products:

For full paper reviews: an edited book at the Springer Verlag published at time of the conference.

For papers based on extended abstract:

a CD-ROM including all papers that have been submitted through an extended abstract procedure.



Structure the conference

Plenary KeyNotes on all key topics addressing an interdisciplinary audience. Parallel sessions with oral presentations and poster sessions to go into depth in the different fields. Beside regular sessions special Workshops can be organised under the auspices of CAIWA. A science-to-policy day is integrated into the scientific program of the conference.
