India Water Forum (IWF) 2011
"India Water Forum" aims at exploring new strategies & technologies in the water sector while being eco-friendly and ensuring sustainable development. The theme of this year is "Water security and climate change: Challenges and opportunities". The conference endeavors to share latest as well as traditional water knowledge and best practices on this issue, and discuss the possible options available for integrated water resource management in South Asia. The conference will encompass the issues that are mentioned as the priorities in the 'National Water Mission' which is one of the eight national missions that are part of the National Action Plan on Climate Change. It will also deliberate upon the technological solutions to solve the water crisis based on the Department of Science and Technology's Technological Mission on Winning, Augmentation and Renovation (WAR) for Water'.
