- This workshop will seek to assist public organizations in taking necessary steps to open up their data sets and provide them in a machine-readable and standardized format, and to maximize interconnections between knowledge brokers and providers. Specifically, the workshop will aim to: introduce participants to the basics and concepts behind Linked Open Data; highlight successful examples (Open Government Data Portals, reegle, OpenEI); discuss common concerns, legal issues and licensing questions; provide concrete insights on “how to do it;” and agree on what steps would be feasible and appropriate to take this agenda forward in the clean development arena.
